We Need Your Help!

I am SOOOOO glad that 2011 is over and done. It was the toughest year financially for Eyes of the Heart Ministries since our inception; our donations are down over 60% from 2010. Many of my friends that run ministries have been forced to get part-time jobs, or close their ministries. We are not at that point, but we are getting closer than I care to say.  I am currently working two part-time jobs to support my family, besides being the Executive Director at Eyes of the Heart. I know there are many other people having to do the same thing to support their families. We live in tough times.

Many of the people who have donated to our cause in the past just don’t have the financial ability to support us through donations anymore. I understand completely, but I can’t quit! Too many people still don’t really know the Living God!

I decided to look at other revenue streams that could help us keep the doors for Eyes of the Heart Ministries open.  If you love our blogs, and would like to see us continue to offer retreats, as well as the behind the scenes work that we do with individual men then you can help us through the following ways.

1. Eyes of the Heart has a tab on our website called EOTH-Resources. These pages contian suggested resources for helping our readers within any of the categories facilitate change in their lives. If you order your books from us we receive an affiliate commission from Amazon.  You get the books you need, and we have another revenue stream that helps us grow and prosper. If you see a book that needs to be added to the list please email me at mike@eyesoftheheart.com.

2. Eyes of the Heart has chosen to partner with some of the best technology companies to host our websites and blog. StudioPress provides a great platform out of the box that is built on the WordPress content management system, and Genesis framework. If you click on the Studiopress ads on our website it will go to their website, and if your order from them we receive a commission for referring them. I personally built http://www.eyesoftheheart.com, http://barnabasproject.com/ and http://www.jmichaelmcdade.com using these standard websites. If I can do it anyone can do it.  The same goes for host gator. They have been great to work with on our websites for hosting.

3. Many of you don’t know that I am a counselor/coach in Colorado, and I have a small virtual office here, but does anyone really like to go to a counseling office? I know I don’t either, so I decided to offer counseling/coaching via Skype or telephone. I have a Masters Degree from Reformed Theological Seminary inMarriage and Family Therapy (2007) and have been counseling /coaching people
for the last ten years. My rates are really inexpensive because I don’t have the overhead of a typical office. Email me if you are interested in my rates, or if you would like to schedule an appointment. References are available.

4. We also need donations to survive. Don’t think that $5.00, $10.00, $25.00 or $50.00 doesn’t mean anything to us. It means survival, and we are so gracious for anything you can afford to give. You can easily donate through paypal on our website.

I rarely use our blog as an outreach tool for fundraising. It is something we give away to help others see God differently than maybe they have been taught, and all we do is for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Thanks for readingour stuff!

May I just put in a plug for counseling with Mike over the phone…I have never met Mike in person, but we have spoken on the phone on a few occasions, and I sent him an email recently, saying,’I don’t know what it is about you, there is some kind of annointing on you, because everytime I talk to you, I have major breakthrough with my issue.” To me, Mike is sound, safe and trustworthy. ( he is even funny…and he writes good stuff ) The blog Mike wrote, This wasnt my Dream, and a Life of Desire, have been absolutely key in a turning point in my life…so..Thanks, Mike!
